Peter, the front fender is an aftermarket unit for a full size HD 90-99 FLSTF J&P # 380035 or similiar. What I did was find a helpful shop owner and we measured the distance between the mounting ears on the savage and then measured until we found an HD that was the same and then looked at options for those bikes. The catalog I had both plastic and steel version. I went with the steel based on his advice, had the mounting area welded up and redrilled for the savage, the fender prepared and painted and the inner side sprayed with a texturing material. The brackets are riveted to the fender and will leak water unless sealed somehow. Also it is tiwanese tin and not very high quality in fit or finish. My kid brother used one on his HD dyna Wide glide and the body shop had almost US $2k in all the work he had done, they welded up his rivet holes and corrected the defects in the sheet metal, and then custom painted all the metal for the bike a new color. I have been getting some regular and digital pictures of mine and will find a way to post them in the pictures section. Also am submitting an article to FSSNOC for the newletter and calendar contest. With the big glass bags, full front fender and Honda Trail 90 package rack it is a different thumper than the trend to the chopper look. Good luck with your project.

BTW, a long while ago you had a colleague who was having some running problems with their Savage and I never heard the problem and solution. Did they finally fix it?
